Elder Packer's week (EP)

Dear Email List:),

We've seen Liz a few more times and she is on a baptismal date for the 14th of February. We were able to give her some baby clothes that were donated by some ward members. She is so cool. Pray for her! And her baby Stephanie. She is so precious. Liz is giving Stephanie everything she has. EVERYTHING.

We taught her about the Plan of Salvation. She seemed alright with everything... we've got to cover a bit more but it is sitting well.

What else?

Dodge night is tonight. I really hope I stay here for one more transfer with Elder Winder.

I went on exchange with Elder Tupou this week. We exchange first thing in the morning and went finding straight away. It was so cold. The snow was crazy as well. The snow flakes were HUGE. They were even picture worthy.

Oh yeah and we went to Woolaton Hall last Monday after I emailed all of you. It is known mainly because part of the Batman movies was filmed there. Besides that though it is a just a really big English house that has a lot of history and stuffed animals, a lake, deer, gardens and a golf course I think... Perfect for a P-day with missionaries.

Well I'll let you know as soon as I can about what happens at transfers.

love,

Elder Jacob Packer

This week in Nottingham 2 (EP)

We have had a good week. We had our interviews with President Rasmussen and mine was short and sweet. I also really enjoyed hanging out with Sister Rasmussen while Elder Winder was having his interview. I love both of them! They work so hard.

Other news, we got district ties. Thus the beauty of cheap ties at Primark is manifest.

We will be going to Woolaton Park today. Apparently it is the place where Batman was filmed. It should be cool. It is free to get in and we'll be going as a district.

Elder Winder and I are running low on our MSF... Haha it is another adventure week. I call it a Boy-Scout-Week.

We had a great lesson with our investigator Liz this week. She is doing so much better. Her daughter is out of the hospital (There were some serious complications when she was born) and both of them are at home now. We taught her about the Plan of Salvation and are working to get her comfortable with reading and praying effectively. She is so great.

Our good friend Ola came to church this week again! How cool is he? He has such faith. We just need to get into his home and teach him so he can really embrace the fulness of the Gospel.

BTW Lydia, I am going to email you at a later date because I don't have sufficient time, but just know that I read your last email. :) :) :) :) :)

4 minutes (EP)

Well people, this week will consist of these two pictures.

The one picture is a tram in Nottingham City Center. We ride those a lot.

The other one is the explanation of my area's name "Bulwell". Notice the Well. Now in the background there is a wire shape statue thing. It is a bull. That is the story.

What is up family? Happy New Year! Guess what we did for new years? (EP)

Dear Family/Friends,

We had splendid New Years Day. Complete with a New investigator and weekly planning. Then we also exchanged with the Elders in Notts 4. I was with Elder Gros in my area while Elder Winder went with Elder Battles.

New Years Eve was like this... Normal Proselyting day... Then we were in by 6 to work on our area book/clean the flat. We also took some time to play Settlers of Catan. It was one of our purchases over the Christmas Weekend. It is a great game.

I don't remember what I have or haven't told you over these last two weeks. I usually err on the lacking information side.

On the missionary side of things, we have gotten 6 new investigators over the last two weeks which has been good for us. We still have a lot of potential to improve but we are on the way up.

I have only fallen over because of the ice 3 times so life is good. No injuries to report.

We'll be having our zone meeting this week and then our interviews with President Rasmussen the next week. It seems like forever since I've sat down and spoken with President. Then again, I did see him at Christmas Conference.

Elder Winder and I are loving life. We get along pretty well. He has made me more dramatic. Our daily conversations are a lot more intense than what they were two weeks ago.

My new years resolution is to find those people whom I am supposed to find on my mission. I may have already found some, but I want to make sure I fulfill my purpose as the Lord's servant called to this area. I will do so by being obedient, working hard, and being myself.

Thanks for your prayers and love everybody!

Have a wonderful day! Enjoy school sisters haha!

Wishing all a very Cool and SNOWY Merry Christmas from Nottingham 2014!

Hey I want to know what you think about this suit! Sister/Mom advice GO! (Jake is going to get a suit or two before coming home, so he is on the hunt! It will obviously have an European flair to it!!)
